Hiragana and Katakana is the first step for Japanese learning. Note: Hiragana is used to mark pronunciation of kanji in Japanese, master the correct reading of them will be a good begining.
Count from 1 to 1,000,000 and even more in Japanese. Note: master this part first before you go to the time vocabulary as numbers will be used there.
Part 1 of time vocabulary. "Sunday 日曜日 にちようび", "Monday 月曜日 げつようび", "Tuesday 火曜日 かようび", "Wednesday 水曜日 すいようび", etc.
Part 2 of time vocabulary. "First 一日 ついたち", "Second 二日 ふつか", "Third 三日 みっか", "Fourth 四日 よっか", etc.
Part 3 of time vocabulary. "January 一月 いちがつ", "February 二月 にがつ", "March 三月 さんがつ", "April 四月 しがつ", etc.

Part 5 of time vocabulary. "year before last 一昨年 おととし", "next month 来月 らいげつ", "this week 今週 こんしゅう", "this morning 今朝 けさ", etc.
